(?), a. [L. myrtaceus.] (Bot.) Of, pertaining to, or resembling, a large and important natural family of trees and shrubs (Myrtace of the order Myrtales), of which the myrtle (Myrtus) is the type. It includes the genera Eucalyptus, Pimenta, Lechythis, and about seventy more.
